Aït Ben Haddou
The Draa Valley The Tizi n’tichka road.
The departure is from Marrakech at 7:00 am.
First, you will cross the High Atlas in order to reach the Tizi n’tichka pass towards the village of Ait Benhaddou.
Arriving to this site, you will be struck by the splendor of this historical castle which is built on a hill overlooking the area.
Then you will reach the famous Ouarzazate, the city of the Thousand and One Nights, wich is situated in the middle of an arid land of 1160 meters height.
Within the next kilometers connecting Zagora with Ouarzazate, you will discover the most beautiful valleys of the country, beautiful villages full of craft workshops and traditionnal berber art.
The Oasis of Zagora was in the past an important caravan center, the starting point of the great trans Saharan convoys.
Once at this city, you will ride camel to get to the bivouac camp.
Then, you will be able to enjoy a wonderful panorama of Sunset before a moroccan dinner and the night in tents.
Zagora – Merzouga
The dunes of Merzouga Caravane
After the breakfast, you will leave to the famous dunes of Erg Chebbi, Merzouga dunes.
The adventure will continue up the valley of the Draa, via the Berber villages Tazarine, Beni Zoli, Ait Atta at the Anti Atlas until Anif, where you will have a stop to eat.
You will cross Rissani first, the former capital of the Alawites sultans, before
passing through the Erg Chebbi site. After that, you will arrive at the hostel by foot at the dunes of Merzouga.
The bivouac camp with traditional nomadic tents is located in a oasis where you will spend the night.
You will enjoy Berber night around fire in the camp after dinner.
Merzouga – Dades Gorges
You will wake up early in order to not miss the unbelievable experienceof the delightful moment of the sunrise over the dunes. Ascending the high dunes of Merzouga, in front of our camp, will make you able to fully dominate the panoramic view of the sunrise.
While crossing the Taillait Oasis, after Erfoud: a short break is made, to see the ancient irrigation system, before reaching Tinejdad.
On Todra Gorges, you will have free time for lunch and for a walk to admire the beauty of the gorges.
After the pause, our direction will be Tinghir, to visit the old Jewish neighborhood and to admire the Dades Valley.
The night will be spent in the hotel in the heart of the Gorges.
Dades Gorge – Marrakesh
The palm of Skoura Dades
The last step of this tour will take you to the Dades Gorges in Skoura, to Ouarzazate and to Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, before going back to Marrakech.
Along the Dades road you will enjoy the sight of many ksours and Kasbahs surrounded by greenery landscapes. It named the road of thousand Kasbahs.
Kelaat Gouna, known by « The City of Roses » is the capital of the rose, near Skoura, bordered by a magnificent palm grove.
The Dades Gorges are really full of liveliness and beauty.
You will enjoy there some free time and have your lunch. You will also be able to seize this opportunity to wander in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the best conserved ksar in Morocco. There you should cross the river and go on an adventure inside this magnificent citadel.
The return to Marrakesh will take place in the afternoon.
